As hair extension specialists we feel that it is absolutely imperative to attend hair and trade shows in order to remain updated with the latest trends and fashions in order to stay one step ahead of your competitors. Large product companies such as L’oreal, Mizani, Paul Mitchell, Labiosthetique and Avlon all hold events to keep salon owners and hair stylists up to date with their latest products and services.
Last year we attended spectacular inspirational hair show – “Steam Punk” by VTCT whom this year have unleashed their “Out of This World” event which was held at South Thames college, Wandsworth Town.
Once again the show was presented by Jennifer Lenard and Mark Izzard from the Habia skills team. Mark and Jennifer have both worked in T.V and theatre productions therefore they are more than familiar with different types of hair extensions including theatrical wigs, toupees,Lace wigs, and wig caps.The event was inspirational and had a tribal meets alien feel, Jennifer and Mark demonstrated the creative use of bald caps, prosthetics and amazing infusions of hair extensions.
With Marks use of wired frames cleverly combined with dreadlocks alongside Jennifer’s unconventional make up techniques they constructed a ‘cling on queen’ which was dare I say
“Out of this world!!”
